Hello
Emma (Yanzhi) Zhao is a current Grade 12 student studying in Vancouver, BC. She will be attending Carnegie Mellon University in the fall, majoring in Fine Arts under the College of Fine Arts. Emma started drawing and painting from a young age and has explored whatever she could get her hands on. She cannot wait to continue her exploration in the realms of art to create something that is true to herself. :)
My Story
So, Emma started her art journey by doodling on the walls of her childhood apartment. She is grateful for her parents, who never stopped her from exploring her passion in the arts. Emma moved to Canada when she was in Grade 2. She has practically tried every single extracurricular activity possible, but ended up only sticking to art, so it was pretty obvious that she was going to pursue this field! She built her portfolio brick by brick and is so excited to see what her next chapter brings. She is so so so excited to go to university in a few months to explore the arts in greater detail and to learn all that she can :)
