This vibrant clay sculpture serves as a compelling visual metaphor for the over-saturated world of social media. Its twisted shapes and protrusions mirror the constant flood of voices competing for attention. The bright, almost neon, palette suggests the allure of digital platforms, much like the content they perpetually serve up. Raised dots and spheres evoke endless notifications and likes, standing out yet failing to harmonize with their surroundings. The sculpture’s glossy finish reflects the polished façades we present online, displaying edited versions of life. The work’s chaotic beauty hints at the complexity of digital identities and the performative nature of social engagement. Born in a decade with a massive overflow of information, we easily lose ourselves in a culture that social media presents. We lose focus on what matters, and it overwhelms and entangles us without us even knowing it.
